With our short attention spans taking over our bodies and our lives, I want to make art that grabs
one’s attention for a moment in time. Maybe causing a double take. My art helps me relate to other people and helps
people relate to me. For me art is about making a connection, communication, and entertainment. I know for a fact that art
can be an icebreaker in getting to know people. I’m not afraid to expose myself and my life to answer people’s
curiosity about who I am. It’s all about surviving in society. I tend to choose Portraits, Sex, Politics, Prejudice,
Sexuality, and American issues as themes. I also try to have repetition, humor, sarcasm, and honesty evident. My inspirations
include Americans, Closeted Sexual Preferences, Entertainment Tonight, Big Cities with Bright Lights, the 1980’s, Technology
and Gays. Having an interest in and being a product of the digital age, I prefer to use digital tools like a computer and
a camcorder over using a pencil or a paint brush. I believe in using whatever you need to use to prove and create an idea
or point. Digital Media is what is current.
